  Less than expected. by
Patricia from Indianapolis, Indiana Sailing date: Jun 2007Pros: Cleanliness. Although our stateroom porter was excellent and friendly, we thought the dining room experience lacked quite a bit. Breakfast in the dining room was awful and service was poor. We had better luck at the other self serve options. Food was lack luster, cold or lukewarm and presentation was sad. Watching the waiters circle the dining hall and "dance" was pitiful. None of them seemed to be having any fun nor did they really put much effort into it. The staterooms were very nice and comfortable. The Fourth of July celebration that was planned was OK for some, but due to space limitations around the pool area, it was difficult to really enjoy the music. It would have been nice to have several music options or a celebration at night where all deck areas could have been used. Dining/FoodFrom previous trips, I thought the food was mediocre to poor. Frequently the dishes were lukewarm or cold. Our waiter always responded with improvements. The dishes were not very well presented and previous cruises have offered much more elaborate/elegant dining experiences. What happened to flaming baked Alaska presented in the dark? The matre d was non-existent at our table. Why would I tip someone for making general announcements (about 3 the entire trip) and we never saw him?
Stateroom QualityOur porter changed the temperature in the room to suit us.
Ship Staff QualityOur porter was excellent. The shopper was OK. The bartender at the Drama bar was great.
Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: The shows were fair, but seemed disconnected with their theme. Girl dancers were great as well as most of the men, but one guy was really bad which distracted from the show. Singers were BLASTING the music. All songs were Blasted! The commedian was ill according to the cruise director, so there was no show. Children's Programs

Ensenada, MexicoEnsenada isn't all that exciting.
The tour guide we had to the "blow hole and winery tour" was very knowledgeable and informative of the area and shared information about the local situation. The blow hole was disappointing and dirty. To get there you had to go through the gauntlet of merchants who stood in the street trying to lure your business. After a quick 10 min view of the blow hole, there was not much else to do. The bus trip there and to the winery was about the best part of this trip. The winery was OK and the wine was passable but there wasn't much to the tour except looking at holding tanks and going thru an underground storage area. There could have been much more to the tour, but the grapes are shipped in from somewhere and the winery was in a downtown location. I can say I have been there but have no desire to return again.
Cabo San Lucas, MexicoCABO was not much fun.
We experienced overcast weather which was not conducive to our snorkeling trip. The shipmates were fun but the water was murky, cold and the fish were gray. Would not recommend the snorkeling trip, nor would I have paid the extra $$ for water from the ship as we were told it was quite hot out there and we would need hydration. We never finished the bottles of water we lugged around all day. CABO WABO cafe was not big enough to accommodate many people; therefore we didn't get to enjoy it. Lots of shops for jewelry.

Ensenada, MexicoLa Bufadora was beautiful.
We took a trip out to La Bufadora, or the "Blowhole", one of 3 underwater geisers in the world. It was kind of a long ride out there but it was worth it because it was so amazing! There is also a lot of good shopping in the area.
Don't Miss: The Blowhole. Cabo San Lucas, MexicoSnorkeling trip.
The snorkeling was a little rough at first but we saw an amazing variety of animals. The scenary on the boat tour after the snorkeling was absolutely gorgeous!!

  Party/Drinker's paradise. by
Ken from Aberdeen, WA Sailing date: Jul 2007Great if you want to party, drink, all night. Not much to do otherwise but squeeze into spot to sunbath or recover from the night before. Very disappointed in food offerings other than dining room seating. Entertainment could have been left at home and discounted our tickets instead! Dining/FoodBuffet food was not very good selection.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityDid not like having drinks offered so strongly/persistently on deck.
Entertainment & Activities
Children's ProgramsNo shuffleboard! Didn't realize the ship was so much of a drinking party boat.

Cabo San Lucas, MexicoI like Cabo, it takes a few to take all of us out of the ship but the place is worth it.
We need more time to enjoy cabo's downtown, we have fun almost all the day at the beach, there's a lot of stuff you can do there.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling or swinm at lover's beach. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  Worst vacation experience. by
Beth from Tampa, FL Sailing date: Mar 2007Pros: Dining room staff. Our stateroom was not cleaned consistently. The first several hours of the trip our stateroom had a foul odor (of the bathroom nature). Many of the staff were pleasant especially the dining room staff however we encountered more rude people than pleasant especially during debarkation. We will never take this cruise line again. Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)Half Moon Cay-Highlight of cruise.
Beautiful and relaxing.
Nassau, BahamasNassau is dirty.
Locals were extremely rude and unfriendly even in the shops. Shopping was ridiculous because they were attempting to sell used and knock-off merchandise as genuine. I was insulted by their blatant deception. Locals made inappropriate comments to me as I was walking down the street. My fiance was extremely unhappy.

  Ship Review by
Debbie from Utah Sailing date: Jun 2007Overall it was a good trip. I think that there could have been more activities on board. I also did not enjoy having the late seating at dinner. It made doing other activities at night more difficult. Also, I was very dissatisfied with the procedure of getting us off the ship. We had to wait in the stairwell for a long time carrying our own luggage. I felt that it could have been way more organized. Entertainment & Activities

Ensenada, Mexico
I liked seeing the Bufadora but I hated walking by the shops and getting pressured by the locals to buy stuff. It made me very uncomfortable and all I wanted to do was get back on the ship.
Don't Miss: Bufadora. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
We had a lot of fun on our snorkeling trip.
