Great atmosphere, very nice staff. by Carrie from Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Sailing date: Aug 2007

Pros:
For my son it would have to be the pool with the very fun water slide. For me it was just relaxing.

We had a great time!!!! Our son never wanted to leave the pool.

Awful Vacation! by De Laina from Las Vegas, NV, US
Sailing date: Aug 2007

Pros:
Fine dinning restaurants.

Rude crew members, boring shows, dirty and dumpy ship, buffet awful. Destination ? Restaurant, excellent food and service.

Dining/Food
Woderful service & food at dinner in the Destination Restaruant. The Paris & Lido Deck food was awful. Seating would of been good there, if we could of found a clean table to sit at. Poorly kept restaurant. Need to pay attention to detail.

Short and rude. When asked a woman bartender how the overall cruise was, she looked at us a said "What do you want me to say? I work here!" Not to excite about her job, is she? When we first got on the ship they kept telling us to go to the Lido deck. They weren't saying what number floor it was on. Went to the elevator and didn't see a Lido deck button. I then turned to a crew member and asked where do we go now. He looked at me and motioned upward with his thumb.

Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: Boring and Needs updating. Shout show was awful. Second show should be earlier in the evening. Save bingo for late night. Band members in bar should have costumes not Pullover shirts with name tags. The performers did great for the material they had to go off of. Spice it up a little. I have seen better high school musicals than the Shout show.

Was okay for a short, last minute vacati by Krista from St George, UT, USA
Sailing date: Jul 2007

Pros:
Water slide kept kids busy for 3 days :)

Rooms were nice, but overall were not as nice as other ships I've been on, not as much attention to detail. Kids club was terrible on this ship, but my kids enjoyed it on other cruise lines. They hung out at the pool instead. Was nice for a short cruise, and would probably do it again because of the price. Cruise director was awesome.

Never going on a cruise again. by Cary from OC, CA
Sailing date: Jul 2007

Pros:
Evening entertainment.

The fact that the ship was overbooked caused a lot of dissatisfaction in the entire cruising experience- food line was long; sports equipment never there; the only heated pool as well as Jacuzzis always overcrowded; and your staff's "unenthusiastic" attitudes (they all seemed way too overworked and only did what they were required out of obligation- were not genuinely happy to be there which can largely and directly effect your patron's experience!!!).

Activities: Cruise was overbooked and there was not enough sports equipment on "sea day". Entertainment: This is the only area we are somewhat satisfied with.

Overbooking caused sports equipment to be unavailable all day; plus 2 out of 3 pools were not heated (extra cold) causing everyone to cram into the jacuzzi.

Service was great, we had a VIP Balcony by Clyde from Fairfield, CA, USA
Sailing date: Jul 2007

Very good. No lounge for ball room dancing or for the over 45 crowd to sit and listen to motown or oldies but goodies. Every club with a dance floor was more to the 20-30 crowd and teens. So after a show there was no place to hang out in a easy listening bar setting. Ship was very clean.

We would choose Carnival's Paradise agai by A Traveler from California
Sailing date: Jun 2007

Pros:
Its staff. The people on the ship encourage you to relax and have fun.

Our experience was simply wonderful on Carnival's Paradise. Food and drinks were terrific, as was the service. We enjoyed the spa, hot tubs, and shows, but especially liked the late-night comedians. Through our stay, the staff went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. We also appreciated the fact that tips were added to the bill automatically, and that we could choose to tip individuals in addition to this if we wanted. We did tip some key staffers because we felt no cruiseline pressure to do so. We would cruise again with Carnival.
